Spent the day with my great grandaughter, Verity.  She is 19 months old.  Very, very happy and pleasant to be around.  

In Oklahoma visiting son Ryan and family. Always a good time.  Ryan takes good care of rich and I.  But it sure is hot and muggy here, not at all like my cool Colorado.

Grandchildren will be helping me post pictures on here this week.  they don't know that yet but they will be.

I've already been shopping at Keepsake Candles and antique stores.  

Gonna be a pool party here tomorrow night.  I think I will pool party in the afternoon.  No point being out by the pool is there is no sun.

Have been going thru needlework  and quilting things.  Trying to organize better so I can find something when I want it.  this is a HUGH job since I have my stuff plus a bunch of UFO's from my mother, grandmother and great grandmother also.  One half of the downstairs is almost done.  this is the cross stitch, TV side.  the biggest thing was getting all my threads in one spot.  (under the coffee table in plastic boxes).  Felling good about the better organization.  Quilt side of downstairs is still a mess but that is for another time.

Need to start work on my "Margaret Cottom" sampler.  Needs to be finished by Sept.

Still working on my "Baltimore Bunnies" (by Bunny Hill designs).  Mine will be totally different though.  I am embellishing the blocks and I must say they are looking good.

Know what I am designing embroidery block wise for next year for a BOM.

Jennifer and I are trying to get all my patterns in paper form.  Ready to start selling farther out than Colorado Springs.

I have been trying to grow avacado trees from the avacado seeds..Have one actual plant and about 8 hopefuls.
Don't necessarly have a green thumb but enjoyiong this.

For my applique friends, my favorite online store is Honeybee Fabrics.  Melissa is so nice and always takes care of me with my non techie things I can't make happen.  She also has an awesome amount of really good applique patterns.

That's it for a while.  Back to organizing.

Been so sick since last thursday.  Either I have a huge case of allergies acting up or I am really sick.    either way it is not fun.

Trying to get my last cross designs drawn tonight.  Way behind on this.  (See Little Ladybug's Creations)
I am so ready for life's problems to go away and get back to creating, drawing and stitching.

Texas visit

Been in Texas since last Thursday.  Visiting daughter and grandchildren.  We have shopped all the antique shops in Weatherford and Grandbury.  also done quilt stores and my favorite cross stitch store in Arlington, "Stitch Nitche".  Have lots of things to bring home, including a round 5 tier shelf  for a corner.  About 6 baskets too.  When one creates, one can never have too many places to put things.  Grandkids are great and loving.  Soaking that up.

The weekend was spent with HS friends.  It is amazing how loud a group of over 60 year olds can be.  We always have fun together.

So we will see what I can do with blogging.  Daughter also got me started on Pinterest.  Two new techie things....will wonders never cease???
